Our Mediterranean coastal environment monitoring program (MAC) since 2006 is based on assessing the presence/absence of more than 40 indicator species. Our project aims to trigger local actions to protect species and habitats deserving conservation measures. Having updated distribution maps of numerous species allows us to evaluate any processes of regression or expansion. This information is essential to develop updated management plans and evaluate the effectiveness of those already implemented.
