A new study by the European Parliament on the Eastern Bluefin Tuna trap set (“Almadraba”) harvesting -currently only practiced in Italy, Morocco, Portugal and Spain- considers this technique respectful to the environment and to resources, due to several factors such as: seasonality, location, structure, low energy consumption and reduced “bycatch”.
