In 2023 MedReAct<\/strong> met local communities<\/strong> in Spain and Italy to present the key role that marine reserves can play to improve the state of the Mediterranean. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In Spain the proposal<\/strong> for a Fish Recovery Area in the Ebro Delta Margin<\/strong> was shared with local groups such as the Ebro Delta Natural Park<\/a>, PICAMPALL<\/a>, the Natural Park Islas Columbretes, <\/a>local media, scientists from ICM-CSIC <\/a>and IMEDMAR<\/a> and the renowned\u00a0 Catalan freediver, Miguel Lozano<\/a>.\u00a0In Italy, the deep changes affecting marine life were highlighted, as well as the importance to protect the last key pristine areas in the Adriatic Sea, such as the Otranto Channel. The presentation was organized\u00a0with the\u00a0support of local groups \"Il Ridosso<\/a>\u201d,\u00a0 Magna Grecia Mare<\/a>, CIHEAM BARI<\/a> and the participation of scientists from COISPA<\/a> and CNR-ISMAR<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
